Original Item: One of a Kind. PAGING PETER MAZE or anyone named MAZE: this is for you!

This is the Official Royal License issued as a Vellum Document awarding the Right to bear Arms of one PETER MAZE on July 30th 1840. This effectively is in recognition of some service Peter Maze and his family have rendered to to the Monarch of England, in this case QUEEN VICTORIA. What is allowed was that the MAZE family has been elevated to the nobility and are now entitles to have a family crest, with Coat of Arms and Seal. This is the real thing. The recipient was not awarded a formal title but that would be the next step on the ladder.

Beautifully presented, the vellum document is signed by SIR WILLIAM WOODS, Knight of the Garter and Principal King of Arms, and JOSEPH HAWKER, Clarenceux, King of Arms, under direct instructions of Queen Victoria to grant a Coat of Arms to PETER MAZE OF BRISTOL. Magnificent Scroll with Peter Maze's new Coat of Arms in Color together with three Official Royal Coats of arms complete with official blue ribbons to bottom holding two gold washed metal circular boxes themselves bearing the Crown motifs of the King of Arms.

This is the Document any red blooded Englishman wants to possess, short of being a Duke, Earl or any other member of the ARISTOCRACY.

In pristine condition with fully separate typed description on an old piece of paper included, all encased in a magnificent fitted dark blue morocco box bearing gilt embossed borders, the Crown of Queen Victoria and the Initials V.R.. The box measures 22" X 5 1/2" X 2 1/2", and is in great shape.

A truly magnificent display piece from a bygone era.
