Our Socialite label Majestic suit is truly a 1940s style garment fit for royalty, and we've named it to reflect that. We also selected the name to bear homage to the passing of our beloved Queen Elizabeth II in the year that this suit was developed.

The most striking feature of the Majestic suit is the inset diamond shapes on the shoulder and opposite hip. In the Quail colourway, the diamonds are two shades of cream and tan brown, which create contrast against the marled, warm brown body colour of the suit. The lighter accents of the diamonds also provide a great colour to draw on when selecting your vintage accessories, like bags, hats and shoes.

As with all our premium Socialite pieces, this beautiful skirt suit takes its pattern from an original forties suit we are very fortunate to own, which features the same incredible diamond detailing.

The two-piece Majestic suit is made of a soft, medium-weight fabric that holds its structure well and has a luxurious wool, almost cashmere-like feel.

The suit jacket is a longline cut with light shoulder padding and structured darts at the waist that create that iconic "nipped-in" forties silhouette. The sleeves have turn-back cuffs. The jacket is fully lined inside and is fastened with five coordinating buttons.

The pencil skirt is also fully lined, and has a kick pleat at the back to allow for ease of movement. It's fastened with a metal side zipper and a matching button at the waist.

Both pieces could of course be easily styled as versatile separates in the wardrobe of a vintage enthusiast.
